Most of my grandson's learning is self-directed, driven by his interests. But much of this education is delivered via the computer...PFS offers him the perfect environment for strengthening his body and his mind. We also love that it has provided a grounding environment for him to learn to regulate through his emotional growth in these crucial years of development. He has learned so much from being around different ages and personalities everyday...It's been an absolute treasure to us to be a part of PFS. I never want to teach indoors again. The school continues to strike me as a truly wonderful place -- and I mean that literally, it is a place full of wonder that is also a place replete with surprises. Perhaps wonder itself is the teacher and the ongoing source of the surprises? PFS was our greatest champion as we went through the long diagnosis process for our non speaking autistic child. Over these past three years I have seen her grow into a wildly independent, beautifully social, deep thinking, creative self-starter who is not afraid to set boundaries and finds her own way of engaging with friends and staff.
